reddy wrote “ Hi Foodies, I wanna share some thing about the restaurant Sonakshi Sharmas the one located near wipro park in Koramangala 1 st block. yesterday afternoon i had been to koramangala on my official work. It was around 2:30pm and i was damn hungry. I heard about this place Sharmas by some of my friends (mouth word) and thought to visit the place. Actually one of friend was waiting at office so thought to take away the food instead of dining there. Ordered for veg biriyani, peas pulav and baby corn manchurian, first of all he packed it in some polythene covers and haded over it to me. I was in hurry and so thought that would be ok and started to my office. It was around 3:15pm me with my friend started to have our lunch, we started to eat the food, but that was really a horrible experience. The veg biriyani never tasted as it is a biriyani , it was like a white rice mixed with some boiled vegetables and packed. Now thought to have peas pulav, damn the peas gave bitter taste and even this remains the same. so left the food and had half baby corn manchurian which is completely over fried, and which is again tasteless. I request Sharmas management to improve the food quality which really disappoints the people who are seriously concerned about the food, guys until sharmas people improves their quality lets look out for some other place to fill our bellys :) ”

mo wrote “ I remember once upon a time when Sharma's was a great place to eat well at good prices. After quite a long time, I suddenly had a craving for that kind of food and made my way there.

From the start we were able to tell that things were no longer as good as they used to be! The food looked much less appetizing and we weren't able to finish everything.

Worst of it all, next morning I woke up with an extremely upset stomach! Therefore, unless I happened to go on an off day, would advise you to steer clear! ”
prasad wrote “ I had the food 8 times.
The food at this hotel is worst.
Even if you order a parcel they give the food in a cover rather than box which sounds ugly.
On my overall experience with Sharmas, i felt never to go and take food in that restaurant. ”
s b wrote “ I ordered food from this place (next to Little Home) and the butter chicken was NO WAY a butter chicken. It was dark red colored dish with chicken pieces with no taste and on top of it, they added sambhar masala into the chicken. Just added 1/2 spoon of butter over it.

They might be good in other food but when it comes to North Indian, its a 100 LIE !!!

On a neutral pont of view, expecting a south Indian cook to make delicious North Indian food is itself a mistake !! Most of the restro in Bangalore who claims to make good North Indian food thinks that adding lots of  red chillies, oil andamp; color makes it a traditional punjabi food!!  Well, wake up all southy cooks... go and taste the food in some delhi dhaba or amritsar or chandigarh roadside restro ... even they make better food then the best restro of bangalore!!

SOMEONE should atleast make some standards of punjabi food when the whole bangalore is dominated by IT industry which has over 50% non-southindians!!

The butter chicken quantity was wrong and the bill was three times what I had made out on the net. very disappointing. Moral of the story Dont fall for something cheap!

shilpa wrote “ the food in Sharma's is awesome. good quantity but only problem is the delivery time taken. The delivery boys should have mobile atleast so that we get to knw the exact time taken and they should start using containers for packing the food.

The food was not upto standards. Excess oil , lot of chilly and lacking taste.

Onion Pakora was by no standards north Indian and Ginger Paneer was, I think Excess Chilly paneer.

I hope, this post will help others avoiding  the bad experience at sharmas. ”
sashi wrote “ Taste of food at Sharmas is nothing great. I was a little diappointed with the way the rotis tasted and felt ... was expecting a lot more from this North Indian food joint!!!
The service of Hungry Bangalore though is commendable .. never thought I cud be so simple to order food thru them. Kudos to the team

The current rating of 2.7/5 does not do justice to the delicacies served by Sharma's.

For the first time, I got them to deliver Tandoori Chicken and Methi Chicken along with Chicken Roll. The preparations were delicious!

Another day, there was a small group gathered at home and I being the host zeroed in on the following:-
#1 Chilli Paneer
#2 Paneer Tikka Masala
#3 Reshmi Kebabs
#4 Chicken Murgh Adraki
to go along with phulkas/garlic naans and kashmiri pulao.

And it was delighful!

I have no idea about the ambience at the restaurant itself though it is
quite a popular joint considering the fact that I always find hordes of
people whenever I pass-by it on 80 feet road.

Do give it a try and you wont be disappointed.

I tried  most of the VEG food here and it has been simple wonderful experience.  Two people can have decent meal for just Rs 100.

Serivce wise the food was delayed but after talking to delivery boy he confirmed he was caught-up with traffic cop's  (he was not wearing helmet).

I would suggest this restaurant.

One thing is for sure, you'll want to come back often to SHARMA's FAMILY RESTAURANT. And all those people who looking for the HOT GULAB JAAMUN and HOT JALEBI this is a must go place..Although the ambience and services are not its greatest strengths but overall it will be an amazing experience. make sure you try it if you have'nt yet. ”
