The food of the gods, thought to confer immortality or something with an especially delicious flavor or fragrance. Ambrosia is serving international cuisines like Italian, Mexican, Spanish and selective Indian dishes. But their specialty is the Flambe technique of cooking which means ‘flamed’ in French. It’s a cooking procedure where alcohol mainly rum, cognac and brandy are added to create a visually dramatic effect and also slightly flavoring food. Ambrosia is located 52, 100 Ft. Road, 17th Main Road, 4th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore. Being located in one of the very popular area in Bangalore it is hard to miss this restaurant and in my advice you should not dare to miss this out.
Ambrosia's a neat, little place but you can feel little suffocation if it is going in full flow; but clean and well-maintained as you'd expect a genuine fine dine restaurant to be. The decor is good and tables are set far enough from each other that you don't hear stray conversation unless it's obnoxiously loud. As it should be, the music is delegated to the background with slow and melodious tracks are being played just to give you a soothing feeling. The people visiting Ambrosia are very nice and they all have a very decent way of dining.
The food in Ambrosia really tasted like food of god. There you can feel the smell of indigenous spices and herbs. A French dish will taste same as it tastes in France. They have a good choice for both non-veggies and veggies. I had the enchiladas (Mexican) and they were delicious. For desert, I had banana flambe (a French desert) .I had to Ambrosia many a times because I liked the food. The main thing to consider is that they maintain their quality of service, every time I went…AMBROSIA U ROCK!!!!!! The presentation also is alluring. And while the prices are not cheap (already said it's an upscale place), it won't burn a hole in your pocket and is usually matched by the taste of the food. The servings are pretty generous too so that a single dish for the main course is enough to satisfy a normal appetite or may be two. I was also impressed by the consistency of the cooking.
Ambrosia service standards are high .Apart from one or two instance where I have to wait to get the attention of the waiter, rest every time it was prompt.(it’s ok !!! “Bade bade sheron mei aisi choti choti batein hoti rehti hain). I remember my first time when I went to Ambrosia I was very familiar with Mexican cuisine but not very known to Thai, that day the waiter helped me a lot by suggesting me the most loved thai dishes in Ambrosia..My sincere thanks to them also.
