ritesh wrote “ Hi Food Lovers,
I just wanted to share my instance which I had with Tamarind, Koramangala Unit. On Saturday April 21, 2007 we 10 old colleagues had decided to have a regular get together starting with Lunch at Tamarind Koramangala. We all met sharp at 1PM for lunch. We were having nice time after a long time, but everything went to kiosk when one of our colleague found an WORM in the Veg Fried Rice. The WORM was sizably bigger, which if hotel quality people could have noticed incase if they are little serious about their business.
When we complained this to management, they were putting blame on one and other department, which I felt very haisy thing.
I request all the food lovers, please take more precautions while having food at Tamarind Koramangala, rather I suggest NOT to VISIT to Tamarind Koramangala again.
Have a nice food and health.
Thanks,Syed Jaffar ”

I think Tamarind is an excellent restaurant. It was wonderful!amazing food and great service! I ate here with my friends- who are typical north indian and very fussy. It is virtually impossible to find a good multicuisine in Bangalore anymore. But this place serves it.The atmosphere is really cosy- a proper multicuisine restaurant as it should be.The staff were great, the food was well cooked and good value.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Well of the 4 times, only once did I go there on my own, rest were office team lunch, which I have very little control over. Being close to office and cheap this invariably is first choice of the management.
First time it was a team lunch. I found it decent. For Rs. 125.00 a decent buffet. I thought I can give it one more try, so came again with my friends. This time the menu was good but preparation was bad…and the cold drink was not cold. I still gave them benefit of doubt. But the last I went there 2 days ago (again a team lunch), they crossed all limits and I decided while having the lunch itself that I’ll write about this.
The food apart from being pathetic was scarce as well. We had to wait about 10 min at the counter with plate in hand, to get the roti. If you think you’ll the roti later, forget it, as they bring rotis in small consignments… as small as 5 pieces, for a waiting crowd of 10-15 people. It was almost a riot for roti. For starters you have some leftover looking cabbage leaves, unwillingly decorated and veg Manchurian… so fulfilling that you wont have appetite left for main course after having those. No, no not because they are so tasty that you’ll eat them all, because they are sooo spicy, you’ll have drunk about 1 liter of water by the time you start your main course. And till the very end of the lunch, I was not able to decide what was colder… the cold drink or the soup. And now they have gone so disinterested in the business, they don’t even bother to warm/heat the food. The food was ditto as the whole experience… ek dum thandaa…!!
AVOID.
